The National President, Nigeria Union of journalists, NUJ, Comrade Chris Isiguzo has advised journalists on abiding by the ethics of the profession.

Comrade Isiguzo Represented by the Vice President, NUJ B Zone, Ronke Shamo spoke at the Dinner and award night organised by NUJ, Ondo State Council in Akure.

He said journalists needed to be guided especially in their political reportage

Corroborating him, Ondo NUJ chairman, Prince Leke Adegbite maintained that
journalists in Ondo State had hitherto upheld ethics of the profession thus making them free from legal tussle.

Speaking on the 2022 press week themed, “2023 elections, media roles in the quest for desirable leadership,” The chairman of the occasion and APC National Vice Chairman, southwest, Chief Isaacs Kekemeke enjoined members of the fourth estate of the realm to protect the profession through self regulations.

Olufisoye Adenitan of Radio Nigeria Positive FM, Godday Ighoteguono of crest FM, Abiola Ariyo , Saheed Bello of NTA, Peter Oluwadare of the Hope Newspaper, Sunday Kolawole of OSRC among others bagged Professional merit Awards.

In attendance were government functionaries , political leaders, media managers including the general manager, Positive FM, Mrs Olubunmi Olalere, Chairman, Osrc orange FM Media group, Mr Kunle Adebayo, RATTAWU chairman, Kayode Olorunfemi and Nawoj chairperson, Comrade Doris Olumoko
