Jesus Christ : the light of the world was the theme of this year’s service of Nine Lessons and Carol of the Nigerian Television Authority , NTA Akure held at the Blood of Jesus Deliverance Church in Akure.
The event brought together, worshippers, eminent personalities , staff and management of NTA Akure.
In an opening remark , the General Manager NTA Akure, Mrs Olubunmi Oke said in line with the theme, one could not wish away the God factor especially as the country grappled with economic and security challenges.
Mrs Oke noted that the purpose of Christmas was to show love to the needy and identify with the Christian community.
In a sermon, the General Overseer of the church, Prophet Abiodun Olofe described Christmas as a period of reflection and called on Nigerians to move closer to God.
Prophet Olofe charged Christians to run away from sin or any act that did not promote the teachings of God.
The Carol featured Nine Lessons taken by different readers and beautiful musical renditions from choirs.
Dignitaries that graced the event included the general manager positive fm , Mrs Olubunmi Olalere, Ondo State C.A.N Chairman , Reverend Anslem Ologunwa, Vice chancellor , Elizade University , Professor olukayode Amund, head of service Ondo State Pastor Kayode Ogundele among others.
