Lawmakers in the Ondo State House of Assembly have paid a condolence visit to the Speaker, Bamidele Oleyelogun on the passing of his mother, Chief Mary Asake Oleyelogun.
Deputy Speaker of the House, Samuel Aderoboye who led members to the residence of the deceased at Isarun in Ifedore Local Government Area noted that the 9th Assembly received the news with joy because the late Madam Asake lived a fulfilled life.
Mr. Aderoboye encouraged the Speaker, Bamidele Oleyelogun and family members to take solace in the knowledge that the quality of life is judged by enduring legacies.
Other Lawmakers described the deceased as a good mother and community leader, judging by the kind of son she raised in the speaker.
While appreciating the lawmakers for their visit, the speaker thanked God that his late mother lived a life worth emulating.
He said the burial arrangements would be announced soon.
Thereafter, the condolence register was signed by the lawmakers.
The late chief Mary Asake Oleyelogun died in the early hours of Saturday, December 10, at the age of 102.
