The Federal government has been tasked to prioritize funding for programmes on ending Hiv/Aids ,Tuberculosis and Malaria Epidemics in the Country.
Oyo State programme officer for Reslience and Sustainable System for Health ,Covid -19 Response Mechanism Global fund project , Mr Oluseun Adebiyi stated this in Ibadan during a media chat .
Mr Adebiyi explained that the aim of the round table media chat was to showcase to Stakeholders and traditional leaders on efforts put in place by the organization to strengthen the Health sector by ensuring people get quality Health care and accountability to diseases such as Aids ,Tuberculosis and Malaria.
“this is intimate all stakeholders and CBO working on our performance so far where we have reach and next step of action that we plan to take and to also serve as an encouragement for all people that are involved in this project, that it is not like every other projects, RSSH -Covid 19 mechanism project is meant to strengthen the Health Services on Aids Tuberculosis Malariaand Covid 19 caskets he added “
Mr Adebiyi noted that the second quarter was six month and was being rounded off in December
.
He said that the project was able to achieve positive results in some selected local governments .
In an address, the Oyo State Cordinator of Network of people living with Hiv/Aids In Nigeria, Mr Faith Olawale who said Oyo state was among the Eighteen States that was selected to implement the projects , lauded the state government for their supports for making it achieve positive results
.
He called on the people to cooperate with the organization in their other quarters to be able to strengthen quality health services delivery.
“ I want to appeal to community members to support and collaborate with us to achieve greater success next year ,the project would move to other local governments he added”
The event featured goodwill messages from representatives of Director of Public Health, Oyo State Ministry of Health, Mr Dupe Oladele , the State Coordinator of Tuberculosis Network and Baale, Oluyole Estate and Environs,Chief Yemi Ogunyemi.
