Abductors of four students of the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja who were returning home for the Christmas and New Year celebrations have demanded Sixteen million Naira ransom before they would be released to their families.
The students who are all females are Florence Obadero, Oreoluwa Aregbesola, Ifeoluwa Ahmed, Omotoyosi Olarotimi and their driver simply known as Momodu.
While the families of the students were being asked to pay three million naira each, a ransom of four million naira was placed on the driver.
A former vice chairman, Akoko Northwest local government, Hon Ajayi Bakare confirmed the development.
The students, said to be returning home for the yuletide, were waylaid and kidnapped at Ago Jinadu Axis, an area noted for criminal activities, especially kidnapping.
