The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has sent a goodwill message to Christian faithful at Christmas.
In a statement , the former vice president extends his felicitations to Christian as they celebrate Christmas across the country.
“May the good Lord grant you and all yours unlimited joy and sustained happiness. May His Divine intervention grant our dear country Nigeria Tranquility, Peace and Prosperity.”
He urged all Nigerians to remain steadfast ahead of the “all-important 2023 general election” and promised that if he wins the people would not have to spend their next Christmas on petrol queue as being experienced across the country now.
“Let us remain steadfast in prayers for a greater Nigeria after the elections of next year that will be a shining example for our present and future generations.
Merry Christmas.
“May God bless you and may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he said.
Similarly, the Peoples Democratic Party has urged Nigerians not to succumb to misery in spite of the hardship and agony they are currently facing.
In a statement, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Debo Ologunagba encouraged them to use the occasion of Christmas to strengthen their hope for a brighter future for the nation.
The PDP says it is saddened by the situation in the country but however felicitates with Nigerians and wishes them Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year ahead.
