Ondo State governor Mr Oluwaroimi Akeredolu has vowed to implement all the provisions imbeded in the 2023 budget titled budget of shared prosperity for the wellbeing of the people of the state.
The governor stated this during the first working day prayer for civil servants in the state at the governor’s car park,governor’s office Alagbaka Akure.
Governor Akeredolu who was full of vigor noted that security of lives and property of the people, employment of more capable hands into the work force of the state government and regular payment of salaries will be paramount to his administration.
Mr Akeredolu also emphasized that allowances and arrears of staffs of the state owned Polytechnic RUFUS Giwa in owo will be addressed and other request will be given attention.
Ahead of this year’s general election the governor advised civil servants to shun partisan politics but rather they should exercise thier franchise and be law abiding.
In his sermon titled my presence shall go with you,the archbishop of Ondo eclesiatical province Bishop Simeon Borokini stressed that the people need God to go before them in this year to achieve success.
Bishop Borokini further encouraged civil servants to be diligent in Thier service.
Songs of praises were rendered as workers exchanged pleasantries with one another while prayers were offered for the state and county at large.
Union leaders,clerics and other top government officials were present at the event.
