A cross section of residents of Akure the Ondo State capital who are happy seeing the new year 2023 have expressed their resolutions for the year.

When asked about their resolutions , Mrs Nike Aribasoye, Mrs Busola Awodu , Mr Ayo Arise and Mrs Shade Bobola said that they wanted to be more responsible and renew their committments to self development and growth in the new year

They also said that they would be more focused on contributing their quota to the development of the country in 2023 as responsible citizens including praying for the development and progress of a stable country .

Similarly ,Mrs Margaret Adebayo of a civil society organization revealed that her concern was to continue to improve more on advocacy against sexual violence against women and girls this year

Also speaking ,Mrs Folasade Bamigboye wanted to do more of educating and empowering women with information needed to be able to navigate the challenges of Sexual and gender based violence in 2023 and ensure that the VAPP act was adequately implemented to punish offenders.

Others who spoke on their new year resolutions also stressed on the leadership to resolve to make the country work well for citizens to be able to achieve their set goals and objectives .

The vice chairman of Christian association of Nigeria , CAN ,ondo state,right Reverend Ayodeji Akomolafe however emphasized on looking up to God almighty for a great 2023 noting that
the effort of man might have failed in 2022

Reverend Akomolafe askef nigerians to resolve to be truthful to themselves by voting credible leaders in 2023 .
