Veteran Nollywood actor, Femi Ogunrombi popularly known as Papa Ajasco, is dead.

He was Popular for his role in Wale Adenuga’s Comedy series, Papa Ajasco,

His demise was confirmed by reliable sources at Ben Carson College of Medicine at Babcock University Teaching Hospital owned by the Seventh Day Adventist, SDA church, where he breathed his last.

A Theatre practitioner, Shaibu Hesseini, also confirmed the development.

In his comments Hussein said 

” I have just been reliably informed that ethnomusicologist, former Music Instructor with the National Troupe Of Nigeria and one time stand in for the ‘Papa Ajasco’ character on the popular WAP Comic Series ‘Papa Ajasco’ Mr. Femi Ogunrombi is DEAD.

I am told that the actor, singer, highlifist and trained Nurse whom we fondly called ‘Uncle Ogurombo’ (not to his hearing though) passed on this evening”, he wrote on his social media pages.

Femi Ogunrombi, popularly called Taiwo by members of his church, the SDA took over the character, Papa Ajasco from the former Abiodun Ayoyinka after he left the show.

He was the leader of the Adventist male Acapella group known as The Ambassadors and Music/Choir Director of the SDA church Yaba, Lagos.

Ogunrombi attended Adventist Grammar school Ede between 1970-1974 after which he proceeded to SDA School of Nursing Ile Ife where he became a certified Nurse.

He was said to have died of liver failure.

Ogunrombi took over the character, Papa Ajasco, when the former character, Abiodun Ayoyinka pulled out of the show.
