Report says a fuel laden tanker yesterday fell along the main Agagu road, in Akure, the state capital.
Eyewitness told Journalists that the incident occurred around 7 pm when the petrol tanker was unable to climb the road.
He said Passers by and some residents have been trying to have a scoop of the fuel.
When our reporter visited the scene this morning (Saturday) the tanker had fallen on a car parked by the road side while petrol was seen gushing out of the tanker.
Reporters also saw that policemen have barricaded the road while officials of the fire brigade are still on ground trying to apply chemical to the scene to avoid any fire incident.
A police officer who spoke with newsmen said they had disallowed people from scooping the commodity from the tanker.
The petrol has also affected the newly asphalted road.
