The Archbishop Vinning College of Theology Okeemeso Akure has earmarked a week long activities to mark its 106th anniversary

This was made known by the Rector and Vicar of the College of Theology Okeemeso Akure, Venerable. Dr Moses Adetunmbi at a news briefing heralding the celebration.

The activities kicked off with visits to Media houses, the Deji of Akure and Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

According to the clergyman, notable Nigerians would be honoured for their outstanding achievements which impacted meaningfully on the society.

Ven Adetunmbi also said a centenary building which would serve as a Senate to the school would be commissioned while visits to correctional center and motherless home would be part of the celebration.

He stressed that Nigeria needed godly people in order to move the country forward.

The Rector noted that if Nigerians were godly enough, the problems confronting the country would have been surmounted by now.

He pointed out that the country had only few fearless people that could tell the truth to power.

Ven Adetumbi therefore urged politicians to have the fear of God in governing the people and also fulfill their electioneering promises to them.
