Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni wants the newly posted NYSC members to the state to be steadfast in their personal and group activities for the objective of the scheme to be  realised.

Governor Mai Mala Buni made the call at the swearing in   ceremony of the 2023 Bach A stream I Corp members held at the NYSC Permanent  Orientation camp, Dazigau in Nangere local government area of Yobe state.

 

The Yobe state Governor represented by the Commissioner for Higher Education, Professor Shuaibu Munkaila also charged the Corp members to imbibe the ground rules of the NYSC to fortify themselves for greater challenges ahead.

Governor Buni further directed security agencies and community leaders to ensure that conducive environment was created for all to thrive.

Also the acting chairman of the NYSC Governing Board and permanent secretary Yobe state ministry of Youth, Sports, Community and Social Development Engineer Isiaku Lawan said the NYSC scheme has proven to be a major unifier among youth in the country’s quest to break the walls of ethnicity, religious bigotry  and primordial sentiments

 

Earlier, the Yobe state coordinator of the NYSC Hajiya Hafsat Yarima explained that the three weeks  orientation  exercise consist of a comprehensive programme that include military Drills, Man ‘O’ war, leadership training, language skills and entrepreneurship lectures among others.

The oath taking for the seven  hundred and eighty four corp members was administered by Justice Amina Shehu on behalf of the Yobe state Chief Judge.
