Ondo state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has described Wife of the Agape Christian Ministries, Pastor Funke Felix- Adejumo as a blessing to the Womenfolk.

 

The Governor stated this at Mrs Adejumo’s 60th birthday held at the church auditorium along Oyemekun Road, Akure.

Gov Akeredolu said Mrs Adejumo had been a voice to the voiceless and a preacher of the world of God whose lifestyle was worth emulating.

 

He said her preaching had inspired him countless times describing her and the husband as life changers.

In a sermon tittled “Learning from a life helped by God”, Pastor in charge of the Harvest House Christian Cente, Ibadan, Rev Gbeminiyi Eboda said pastor Funke Adejumo is worth studying and charged those coming up in the Work of God to put their all in Christ.

 

In their Testimonies, Three of of her Mentees, Mrs Adejumo, Pastor Tumise Odedele, Pastor Babasola Folorunsho and Pastor Francina Norman from the United state of America described her as a generation ahead of her peers.

Eulogising his wife, Bishop Felix Adejumo said the celebrant was a true wife and mother anyone could pray to have.

The celebrant’s First Son, Pastor Dotun Adejumo and daughter, Mrs Tomi Oyinsan described their mother as a teacher, giver, Amazon who had taught them the way of the lord and prayed for long life and good health for her.

Some of the church members also eulogized the preacher, author and marriage counselor as a woman still raising the bar of excellence in all areas of life.

 

They also appreciated her humanitarian works through the Funke Felix Adejumo Foundation which they noted had impacted lives of people around the world.

 

In her remark, the celebrant, Pastor Funke felix-Adejumo while appreciating everyone for their kind words and making her ministry work said attaining the age of 60 was fulfilling.

She however charged her mentees to be focused and not allow age or the society to stop them from achieving their lives’ dreams.

Reviewing a book in honour of the celebrant, the Dean faculty of law, Elizade University ilara-mokin, Prof Oyebola Oyebade urged people especially women to get the book as it was a guide to greatness.i

Dignitaries at the ocassion included the the Deputy governor of Ondo state, Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa, wife of minister of works and housing, Bishop Wale Oke, Dame Abimbola Fashola, wife of former governor of Imo state, Mrs Nkechi Okorocha, Mrs Oyearugbulem, Deji of Akure kingdom, Oba Ogunlade Aladelusi, Vice Chancellor, Elizade University, Prof Olukayode Amad, Retired Anglican Bishop, Omojoyegbe Ipimoye, Dean faculty of law, Elizade University

At a well attended Reception along ilesa/Owo road , the Chairman of the occasion who is also the deputy governor of Ondo State, Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa who said the journey of 60 years was not that easy said those who believe in her words to follow her footsteps in Christ .

 

Highpoint of the event was the distribution of food items to widows.
