The Member Representing Akoko North East/ West federal Constituency of Ondo state, Dr Bunmi Tunji-Ojo has reinstated his commitment towards making life more bearable for his constituents through effective representation.

Dr Tunji-Ojo who is seeking a reelection made the promise at a media parley in Akure, the capital city.

The Federal lawmaker said he had been able to facilitate many infrastructural projects to his constituency as part of his pledges during election campaign over three years ago.

Dr Tunji-Ojo identified such projects as solar light, transformers to some Akoko communities, construction and rehabilitation of roads, health care services, community electrification, empowerment of farmers, youths and women among others.

While Correcting the notion that he has been diverting NDCC projects to his constituency, Dr Tunji-Ojo clarified that as NDDC committee Chairman in the House of Reps, he only performs oversight function over the commission and his committee.

Speaking on this month’s general election, the lawmaker expressed optimism that he would be returned by his constituents having fulfilled his promises to them in almost four years as their representative in the green chamber.

Dr Tunji-Ojo appealed to the people of Ondo state to vote massively for the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming election.

On the issue 9f kidnapping which is still being recorded in Akoko area of Ondo state, the Federal lawmaker promised that the menace would soon become a thing of the past.

He commended Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his several efforts to combat insecurity in the state, but noted that Akoko communities being borders with volatile states such as Kogi State, makes kidnapping seems an insurmountable challenge in the area.
