One of the matches slated for day six in the ongoing Nigeria premier football league between host, Sunshine stars football club of Ondo and visiting Bayelsa United at the Akure sports complex has ended 1-0 in favour of the host.
Chukwudi Stephen scored the only goal in the fourth minute of the encounter.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the game, Sunshine stars coach Edit Agoye expressed satisfaction with the game and promised to restrategise his formation especially in term of converting scoring chances.
Coach Agoye also emphasized the aim of the team which he noted was to return to continent competitions.
The former shooting stars of Ibadan gaffer said Sunshine stars once campaigned at the continent and would love to qualify the team to it again by snatching one of the tickets at the end of the abridged league.
On his part Bayelsa United coach Dipreye Teibowei Commended the quality of football player by both team and also praised the match referees for professionalism.
Speaking on the three point deducted from his team by IMC for indiscipline,coach Teibowei said his team have appalled and hope to a favourable reply to get back thier three points back.
Sunshine stars will face Niger tornadoes of Mina in a midweek fixture in Akure.
