PROFOUND APPRECIATION TO THE FEDPOLEL FAMILY

Today, 10th March, 2023, as I complete my assignment as the pioneering Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, I feel elated and wish to profoundly appreciate and thank every member of the FEDPOLEL family. This is indeed a significant phase in my life and it has been a momentous glorious eight years of significant development of our institution. The journey which started in April, 2015 has seen us traversed many ups and downs together.
Significantly, in the process, together, we have built a Polytechnic we can all be proud of, an Institution we started from the scratch and have taken to this glorious height where it parades commodious buildings, cutting-edge facilities, growing student enrolment, improved scholarship of our faculty staff and a formidable presence in the academic community. We towered above other schools with which our school was created in 2014, though we started in 2015. No doubt, in the course of our history, we encountered many obstacles but by common spirit of purpose and grit we surmounted them all and in the process, we gained more insight and experience that have become useful to the sustenance of our Polytechnic.
For me, knowing each and everyone of you has been memorable, and I cannot help being nostalgic at a moment like this. I have formed a peculiar bond, which I believe will continue be part of me wherever I go, with the Polytechnic and with all of you. I am particularly appreciative of your support of the dreams of the institution and your sacrifice to have them achieved during my tenure. If we disagree on anything, it was because there was an overriding desire that our institution should achieve its goals, and generally speaking, we did hit the stars together. The FEDPOLEL experience will remain evergreen with me. I wish you will keep the flag of the spate of the development of the Polytechnic flying. I will be looking out for you and will continue to be your number 1 cheer-leader. I look forward to hearing that you’re growing in leaps and bounds corporately and in your private lives.
I want to seize this opportunity to thank those who worked with me at the leadership, both past and present, including Principal Officers (Acting Deputy Rector, Registrar, Bursar and Polytechnic Librarian), Acting Deans of Schools, Heads of Departments and Units, leaders of the unions, opinion leaders and all staff and students.
Thank you and God bless you all.
Au revoir.
