Eligible Voters in Ondo State have been cautioned against violence, vote selling and vote buying in the house of assembly election slated for this Saturday.

The Ondo State director of national orientation Agency, NOA, Mrs Adelayo Adefolalu gave the caution during a sensitisation visit to Akure South Local government area of the state.

She pointed out that numerous general setbacks in governance and maladministration were as a result of void votes, vote buying and voters apathy.

Mrs Adefolalu described the legislature as a critical arm of government that required capable representatives.

The NOA Director therefore enjoined eligible voters to troop out peacefully and elect their choices for the legislative house for the next four years.

The executive chairman, Akure South Local government, Mr Gbenga Olaniyi represented by his chief of staff, Mr Abiodun Olaniyi, urged the electorate to vote for candidates with Experience, sound track records and as well sustain the peaceful atmosphere across the state.

Stakeholders at the gathering including traditional, religious, community and labour leaders all condemned vote buying while the NSCDC officials at the event hinted that over 9000 security personnel had been deployed for the house of assembly polls.
