The incoming administration in the country has been asked to build a new nation where life is valued.
The Bishop of Ondo Catholic diocese Right Reverend Jude Arogundade gave the charge in a sermon to celebrate the world communication day at the Catholic cathedral in Akure.

He then called for a rapid amendment to the constitution for a better country.
Bishop Arogundade also charged Media professionals to always use their tools to propagate truth , love and peace and shun inciting messages .
He prayed for the safety of journalists nationwide and for the growth of Nigeria.
In an interview with radio Nigeria, chairman NUJ Ondo State chapter Prince Leke Adegbite appealed to journalists to uphold the norms and ethics of the profession .
The Ondo nuj chairman appealed to the public to always verify information from credible media organisations before making it viral to curb panic and fake news.
As part of the event, Professor Mobolanle Oniya from the department of Biology federal University of technology Akure delivered a lecture .
Those who graced the occasion included the commissioner for justice in Ondo State sir Charles Titiloye, commissioner for information Mrs Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, represented by the Acting permanent secretary , ministry of information , Mrs Toyin Onisile, retired Bishop of Ondo Catholic Diocese, Most Reverend Francis Alonge, Chairman Owena Press Mr Ademola Adetula.
The theme for the 57th world communication day is ” speaking with the heart , the truth in love taken from the book of Ephesians 4:15.
