Ijagba community in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, has protested the incessant attack, kidnapping and killings of residents by suspected killer herdsmen, declaring that communities in the area are now under siege.

The Prime Minister of the community, High Chief Sunday Ogoh, registered the displeasure of his people to journalists in Akure, the State capital following the latest killing and kidnapping in the area.

Chief Ogoh, on behalf of the community, pointed out that just three days ago, one of the illustrious indigenes of the town named Ohiremen Isaac Odeh was killed by the killer herdsmen, while his son Solomon Isaac Odeh was kidnapped but released after a ransome of four hundred thousand naira was paid by the community.

Chief Ogoh, also expressed sadness over the recent kidnapping and subsequent killing of a politician, Bola Adelegbe, who was a younger brother to a member of the House of Representatives.

The community leader, appealed to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, his Deputy Lucky Aiyedatiwa and security operatives particularly the military to flush out criminals from the government forest reserves around Ijagba, Imoru, Molege, Arimagija, Ute and Okeluse axis.

Reacting to the latest killing at Ijagba, the Police Spokesperson in the state, Funmi Odunlami confirmed the attack, adding that investigation had commenced.
