The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, felicitates with Nigerians, particularly, the Muslim Faithful on the joyous occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
SGF urges them to use the period of the celebration to reflect on the purpose and lessons of the Eid-El-kabir which include sacrifice, love, charity and piety among others for peaceful coexistence and harmonious relationship with one another.
He enjoins Nigerians to continue to pray for the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration as he works hard to deliver on the Renewed Hope Agenda for the unity and sustainable national growth and development.

The immediate past President of the Senate Ahmad Lawan heartily felicitated Nigerians and in particular the people of Yobe North Senatorial District as they join the rest of the world to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
In a statement to mark the Eid-el-Kabir, senator Lawan urged Nigerians to continue to pray and give full support to the government and others at all levels.
He said Steps are being taken by the new administration to strengthen the economy, which may come with initial painful effects. He implored Nigerians to remain hopeful that they shall soon begin to see the fruits of the measures in every sector of the economy .
The former President of the Senate, believed that the new administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has started on a good footing and moving in the right direction to the desired destination as a nation.
He urged Nigerians to always pray for President Tinubu to deliver on his mandate.
Eid-el-Kabir is About Sacrifice, Not Meat and Rice – Daniel
The Senator, representing the Ogun East Senatorial district, His Excellency, Otunba Engr Gbenga Daniel, has called on Moslem faithful not to forget the lesson of sacrifice which the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir symbolises.
The Senator in his Eid-el-Kabir message extends warm greetings and best wishes to all Muslims across the world, and especially in Nigeria, urging them to reflect on the values of sacrifice, love, and unity that the festival represents.
Senator Daniel emphasized the importance of using the occasion to foster peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths and backgrounds. He encouraged them to embrace the spirit of compassion and generosity by reaching out to the less privileged and extending a helping hand to those in need during this festive season.
According to him, “Eid Ul Adha is not just a celebration of pomp and pageantry with plenty of meat, rice and stew, it speaks to the significance of sacrifice and trust in the directive of Almighty Allah.
“I join our Muslim brothers and sisters in the celebration of core obedience to His will and urge us all to emulate the dedication of the Prophet, especially as it concerns our country. Barka da Sallah!”
Senator Daniel emphasized the need for unity and harmony, and urged Muslim faithfuls to come together to promote a peaceful atmosphere.
He thereby called for a moderate celebration during the festival period with gratitude to Almighty Allah, while respecting the diverse religious beliefs within their communities.
