The Chief Imam, Gbadamosi Memorial Central mosque, Adebowale in Akure, Alhaji Hussein Imoyomi wants Nigerians to continue to pray for the leaders to turn the nation’s situations around
Alhaji Imoyomi made the call at the mosque’s prayer ground during a service to mark this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
The cleric argued that nobody could attain leadership position without God’s knowledge hence the need to pray for them
Alhaji Imoyomi maintained that God created the leaders and could make them work in favour of the masses
He however advised the leaders to fulfil their electoral promises and ensure their policies were people oriented as they would account for their roles before God
Some Muslims at the prayer grounds including foremost Islamic scholars, Alhaji Soliu Owamoyo, Dr Jamiu Jabar, Alhaji Sakariyau Gbadamosi and the Olu of Iponna-nla, Chief Omotayo Oluwasina appreciated Allah for sparing their lives to be part of this year’s Eid -el Kabir.
The symbolic slaughtering of Sallah ram was performed at the end of the eid prayer.
