A former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Alhaji Ali Olanusi has urged Nigerians to be patient with the present administration under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his quest to develop the country.
Olanusi made the plea while receiving some groups of Muslim faithful who paid him a Salah homage at his residence in Alagbaka , Akure, Ondo State capital.
According to him, what the President did while he was the governor of Lagos State was an eye opener to what he would do for the nation.
He thanked the people of Ondo State for their massive votes in the February election for the emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu whom he described as an achiever.
Alhaji Olanusi described Eid el Kabir as a festival of great sacrifice to Allah which must reflect in “our loving and sacrifice to one another, especially those who do not share our belief , culture and language.”
He also urged Nigerians to continue to obey their leaders and constituted authorities as exhibited by Prophet Ibrahim who offered his only son Ismail as a sacrifice to Allah in obedience to his command.
Alhaji Olanusi also used the occasion of the celebration to admonish both religious and political leaders in the country to continue to lead aright and work more together so as to deliver messages of peace and harmony at all times.
Also, they should continue to show God as a merciful father to all irrespective of tribe and faith.
The former deputy govenor and former chairman board of Benin Owena River Basin Authority, prayed Allah to make this year’s Eid el Kabir celebration bring peace and prosperity to all Nigerians.
