Former Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayo Fayose, has called on Nigerians to give the Tinubu Administration the support it requires to make life better.

Briefing State House correspondents after he met with the President, Mr. Fayose maintained that the President had so far demonstrated that he meant well for the nation.

He said the removal of fuel subsidy should not be used to discredit the good intentions of the government, arguing that the presidential candidates of the PDP and the LP also pledged to withdraw it if elected.

Mr. Fayose, a member of the PDP, denied that his visit to the President was aimed at lobbying for a position, adding that the visit was rather to express support and give guidance.

He argued that Nigeria, with a supposed population of 200 million people, was greater than sectarian or party politics, stressing that the administration needs support and guidance across the country to be able to make the required impact.
