As part of year 2023 events of Radio Television Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU) in the South West zone and in response to the welfare needs of workers, the leadership of RATTAWU in the zone embarks on a free medical check-up for members.
The National Vice President (South West), Comrade Dare Durosimi, who was at the July edition of the monthly medical screening held on Thursday 6th July 2023 at Radio Lagos RATTAWU Secretariat, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos said the event was organized for the purpose of early detection of diseases and immediate treatment to forestall untimely death among members of the union.
Comrade Dare Durosimi explained that the event was in collaboration with DDi, ADAMEG Care Foundation and Baker Sweet Frames.
He said over 400 members had benefited from the medical screening ranging from High Blood Pressure, Sugar Level (Diabetes), Eye Test, Consultation with Doctors and medications.
Comrade Durosimi however urged the leadership of RATTAWU at the State councils and Chapters in the zone to be prepared to host the programme at their respective domains for the benefit of members in the south west zone.
He further encouraged members to be available for the medical screening.
The RATTAWU Boss said one of the major components of welfare package is well being of workers and the greatest asset of workers is good health.
In addition, the Zonal Vice President appreciated the members for their support and urged them to embrace the medical screening exercise.
