Ondo State Acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has called on political leaders in the country to allow good governance, effective leadership and accountability to define who they are.

Mr Aiyedatiwa made the call in Ibadan, Oyo State while addressing eminent personalities at the yearly lecture series in honour of Late Supreme Court Justice and one time Chairman nominee of Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), Hon Justice Pius Olayiwola Aderemi, CON.

He emphasized that good governance, essentially borders on making the interest of the people uppermost in decisions and actions of government, while leadership entails the ability to mobilize the followership in the political and government cycle for effective actions.

Mr Aiyedatiwa said good governance, leadership and accountability are the Hallmarks of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu-led government in Ondo State.

The acting governor said the present administration in Ondo State was conscious of the expectations of the people hence the drive to do what is right and beneficial to them.

The Acting Governor explained that, accountability is the willingness of public office holders to give a satisfactory account of the use of their power and resources.
