Kwara state Police Command says it will adopt the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to reduce crime to the minimum in the State.
The state Commisssioner of Police ,Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi stated this during her maiden press conference in Ilorin.
Mrs Adelesi said crime prevention methodology will also be deployed to send away criminals from the state.
She explained that the command will make crime less attractive and unprofitable for the perpetrators.
The Commisssioner noted that the command will improve in it’s intelligence gathering strategy through collaboration with sister security agencies in the state.
She said the command will deploy the available manpower and ensure adequate policing to enable economic activities thrive.
Mrs Adelesi maintained that collaboration with neighbouring states will strengthened to forestall cross boarder crime.
The Commisssioner urged residents of the state to volunteer information to the command on the activities of criminals for prompt action.
