The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Division Nigeria Army, Maj Gen Valentine Uzodinma Okoro has charged officers and Soldiers of the 32 Artillery Brigade, Owena Cantonment, Akure Ondo State to remain professionally disciplined in the course of discharging their duties.

He gave this charge during his familiarization visit to the Commander, 32 Artillery Brigade, Akure Cantonment, Ondo State.

Major Gen Okoro who recently assume office as the 44th General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Division was received and briefed by the Commander 32 Artillery Brigade, Brig Gen Mukhtar Adamu on the Brigade’s operational activities and later led the GOC and members of his entourage on a guided tour in the Cantonment.

The GOC while addressing the troops, urged them to continue maintaining high standard of vigilance and alertness in their various duty locations, and also encourage troops to continue being disciplined in carrying out their responsibilities in various assigned tasks and avoid all forms of extortions.

He further stressed that troops welfare would remain paramount during and after his administration.

The Commander 32 Artillery Bridged Brig. Gen. Mukhtar Adamu appreciated the GOC for his kind gesture in finding time to visit the Brigade.

The GOC further extended his familiarization visit to the Paramount ruler and Deji of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi.

In his remarks, Oba Aladetoyinbo who is also Chairman, Ondo State Council of Obas thanked the GOC for recognizing him as an important dignitary and further promised to continue maintaining and sustaining the collaboration between the Kingdom and the Brigade by ensuring and exposing criminal’s hideouts in the State to the Military.

Other state visited under his area of assignment is Ekiti state.
