Afin Akoko in Akoko northwest local government of ondo state was agog on Saturday as Alhaja Latifat kilani was installed the first Yeyeoba of Afinland by the monarch, Oba AbdulRaheem Adejoro.

The event which attracted dignitaries from all walks of life also featured the launch of yeyeoba foundation for the benefit of mankind.
Speaking during the ceremony, Oba Adejoro said that Chieftaincy titles were conferred on people with track records of honesty, dedication and service to humanity rather than being wealthy or popular.
The monarch described Alhaja kilani as a virtuous woman, hardworking and a philanthropi who always remembers the less privileged.
Oba Adejoro listed many life impacting projects executed by Alhaja Kilani in the ancient town of Afin to include solar light and medical outreach to the downtrodden.
In her acceptance speech, the new yeyeoba of Afin land, Alhaja Kilani said the honour was a challenge to do more for the community and humanity in general.
Some monarchs who graced the occasion including the olubaka of Okaland, Oba Adebori Adeleye applauded the choice of Alhaja Kilani as yeyeoba, saying chieftancy titles were not for people of questionable character.
