Ondo state Government Says it will embrace more private sector initiatives to build the capacity of unemployed youths for job creation.

 

Acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa stated this on the occasion of the 2023 international youth day celebration held at the State Information Technology Agency SITA in Akure.

 

The theme of the event is “Green skills for youth towards a sustainable world” which attracted top government functionaries, youth leaders and students to participate and celebrate the young people as well as rub minds to address the lingering challenges confronting the youths in the society

 

Mr Aiyedatiwa congratulated the youths for their resilience saying Governor Akeredolu’s administration was committed to ensuring both human and capital development of Ondo State.

 

He noted that government would continue to invest in youth and sustainable development for optimal Productivity.

 

In his address of welcome ,the Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Bamidele Ologunloluwa said there was the need for youths engagement at national and local level to achieve the sustainable development agenda SDGs in 2030.

 

In their goodwill messages, the state chairman, youth council of Nigeria Matthew ogunmolawa and Speaker Ondo state youths parliament, Smith Ikumapayi charged the youths to develop skills that would solve societal problems.
