The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, Babatola Afolabi on Monday, decorated 384 newly promoted police officers in the command.
CP Afolabi decorated 137 Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP II) to ASP I and 247 Inspectors to ASP.
The newly promoted officers were decorated following recent promotions released by the Police Service Commission (PSC) as recommended by the Inspector-General of Police.
Decorating the newly promoted officers, CP Babatola, congratulated them and urged them to operate within the context of the law as well as have respect for human life.
The Police Boss reminded them that to whom much is given, much is expected from him urging them to redouble their effort towards protecting lives and property of the citizens.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the event, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, explained that those promoted had performed excellently while discharging their duty, hence, their recommendation to the IGP for promotion who eventually recommended them for the promotion.
SP Nguroje, pointed out that those promoted are expected to continue to operate within the confines of the law while protecting lives and property of the good people of the state.
