The ibuji community in Ifedore local government area of Ondo state will be Agog on Wednesday, 30th with the annual OBEREMOYE festival.

 

This is contained in a statement signed by the first Onibuji of Ibuji kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Folagbade Ojo.

According to Oba Ojo, the annual traditional ceremony is also marked as Odun Olokun during which residents dance round the town and later converge on the Olokun shrine to offer prayers for the peace and progress of ibuji community.

 

Oba ojo said the community would also celebrate its annual NEW YAM FESTIVAL on Saturday 2nd, September 2023.

The monarch explained that during the festival, residents would troop to the palace to dine and wine with him while also paying special homage in commemoration of the new yam festival.

Oba Ojo urged all sons and daughters of Ibuji kingdom, both home and in the diaspora to attend the two festivals which usually serve as reunion for indigenes of the ancient town.
