Governor Seyi Makinde at the weekend approved the selection of Prince Afolabi Olaoye as the new Soun-elect of Ogbomoso land.

However, in a swift reaction to the approval, the family of Laoye, where the Soun-elect hails from, has appealed to the State government to rescind its decision.

While speaking with journalists at a news conference in Ogbomoso, the Laoye family head, Alhaji Garuba Tewogbola said though, Prince Afolabi is a member of the family, he was not recognized by many.
