The acting governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa says the legacy of transparency, accountability and commitment to people oriented projects left behind by late former governor Olusegun Agagu can never be forgotten.

Mr Aiyedatiwa was speaking at the tenth memorial Colloquium for the late Dr Agagu, held at the international cultural and event centre, the dome, in Akure, the state capital.

Mr Aiyedatiwa who was represented by the commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Olayato Aribo explained that the policy of making public, monthly allocation to the state under the late Agagu would remain indelible in the history of the state in addition to many laudable projects executed by his administration.

Also speaking, late Agagu’s Deputy, Otunba Omolade Oluwateru and former governor of Ekiti State, Olusegun Oni, who was also the chairman at the occasion, said Late Agagu was a leader with zero tolerance for abandoned projects and corruption.

Some of those who worked with the late former governor, including the current chairman of SUBEB In Ondo state, Mr Victor Olabimtan and a former House of assembly speaker, Dr Bakita Bello maintained that the late Agagu governed with high sense of responsibility and also gave back to humanity.

Appreciating the organisers, his son, Feyi Agagu expressed gratitude for the show of love to the family after the demise of their father.

The event was attended by erudite scholars, Political associates, traditional rulers, families and friends of the late former governor.

Late Dr Olusegun Kokumo Agagu was a minister of aviation as well as power and steel before becoming a governor in 2003.

He died on the 13th of September 2013 at the age of 65.
