Residents of Koseunti extension, mechanic village area of Ondo road, Akure have called for government’s urgent attention over the perennial flooding which makes their road impassable during the rains.

They made the call as the area was recently flooded again forcing some residents to abandon their homes for many days.

A positive fm correspondent who visited the area reports that flood had taken over the only major access into the community with shop owners unable to open for business as a result of the situation.

Two of the residents, Mrs Racheal Oyewusi and Mr Ade Oluwalana lamented that many residents had to put up with relatives in town for many days when the area experienced another flooding.

Mrs Oyewusi and Mr Oluwalana appealed to the state government to come to their aid before the perennial flooding caused more havoc in the community as the water usually found its way into houses when the road was already overflown.

They noted “Ondo state government please come to our aid before this flood destroys the whole of our property, when the road is flooded, the water finds its way into houses. We are begging for urgent attention in addressing this matter”
