A Socio political group, Ondo Redemption Front, ORF, has questioned Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s capacity to rule the state following his refusal to return to the state after his arrival from Medical vacation in Germany.
The group which described as unfortunate, a situation whereby governance is being carried out from Oyo state, also said that governor Akeredolu’s insistence on ruling from Ibadan might be an indication that some individuals had hijacked the government from him because of his state of health.
The chairman of ORF, Mr Ayodeji Ologun and his co-chairman,Mr Olufemi Lawson Kayode stated this while addressing newsmen in Akure the Ondo state capital.
The group also lambasted the Ondo state House of Assembly for failing to query governor Akeredolu’s refusal to resume at his official duty -post to govern the state.
They also condemned the house of assembly for dragging Ondo state into the mud by traveling to Ibadan to meet the governor to sign documents.
They alleged the state lawmakers for instigating violence and anarchy by embarking on unjustified impeachment process of the deputy governor, Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa.
According to the group, politics should be the least of the worries of the political class considering various challenges facing the people of Ondo state, such as the Akure-Ondo road cutoff and overflow of water in the riverine area.
