*Ondo PDP Salutes Ondo State Election Petition Tribunal Over Verdict On Ile Oluji/Oke-Igbo House Of Assembly Election.*
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ondo State Chapter received with delight and great excitement, the judgement of the Ondo State Election Petition Tribunal which declared the House of Assembly election in Ile-Oluji/Oke Igbo State constituency, inconclusive.
The Party has been raptly and tenaciously following the Tribunal’s proceedings and opined that, based on the evidence before it, the party’s candidate, Comr Babatunde Fadare popularly known as Boss Mario, ought to have been outrightly declared the winner of the election by the Election Petitions Tribunal.
However, we are enthused by the rare exhibition of judicial dexterity, uprightness and courage of the judges at the Tribunal to have ordered the immediate withdrawal of Certificate of Return wrongly given to the APC candidate, Mr Nelson Akinsuroju, a situation that has not only lifted our souls but has equally strengthened our hope in the judiciary as the last hope of the oppressed.
As it is today, our party is not in doubt of the popularity, acceptability and street credibility of Comr Babatunde Fadare in iIe-Oluji/Oke Igbo State constituency and fervently believes that in an atmosphere of transparency and patriotic discharge of national assignments by relevant stakeholders, Boss Mario will surely emerge victorious in any rerun, with a landslide margin.
While our Party congratulates Comr Babatunde Fadare for this well prosecuted judicial fireworks, we sincerely encourage him to soldier on as he takes the next bold steps aimed at fully recovering his stolen mandate at the Appeal Court. The lower Tribunal has solidly laid the foundation upon which the case firmly stands and we foresee light at the end of this dark tunnel even as we lend our unflinching support, unwavering solidarity and full weight behind him in the pursuit of this historic legal battle.
