The Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba, Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran has given out his daughter, Adewumi out in marriage to Blessing Bolaji.

The wedding ceremony was held at the Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Ilesa, Methodist Cathedral, Otapete, Ilesa.

In a sermon, the Archbishop of Ilesa Diocese, the most Reverend Amos Akindeko identified obedience to God’s words and adherence to his commandments as the pillar of a strong and successful marriage.

The most Reverend Akindeko said since marriage is ordained by God, couple should endeavor to follow, to the letter, all His instructions.

He blamed the incessant marriage failure on lack of understanding of marriage and ego.

 

The clergyman advised the new couple to be responsible and committed to each other to avoid unnecessary grudges

The most Reverend Akindeko commended the Owa Obokun for bringing up his children in a godly manner and not imposing life partners on them.

He called on couples whose homes were on the verge of collapse to embrace them with love in order not to make their children vulnerable to all forms of social vices.

The ceremony was attended by traditional rulers, technorats and government functionaries.
