Ondo State House of Assembly has commended the State command of the Nigeria Police Force, for being proactive at ensuring peace in the State.
The Speaker, Mr Olamide Oladiji gave the commendation when he led some members of the house which include the chairman house committee on information, mr Oshati Olatunji, Mr lfabiyi olatunji, Mr Chris Ogunlana and Mr Felix Afe on a visit to the force headquarters in Akure.
According to him, the visit became imperative to rub mind with the State Commissioner of Police and his team as a seperate arm of government to further enhance the security of the State, thanking them for a job well done, particularly at this period.

Mr Oladiji pledged that the House would continue to give legislative backing to the Security Agencies in the State towards enhancing security for enduring peace and at the same time advocating more synergy with the 10th Assembly towards an unhindered peace in the State.
Responding, the State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Asabi assured that the command would continue to do its best to secure the State and work harmoniously with stakeholders to achieve set objectives.
Mr Asabi while soliciting support of the House in fast tracking operational facilities in enhancing the capacity of the command applauded the complete humility of the leadership of the House for deeming it fit to visit the command.
