Over three thousand students will convocate at the Federal University of Technology Akure FUTA’s 33rd convocation coming up next week.
At a news briefing heralding the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji said the university in the bid to have direct impact on the society would introduce new academic programs upon the approval of the National University Commission , NUC .
Prof Oladiji emphasized that the gown had now been taken to the society to impact viable knowledge on the citizenry for a better society.
The Vice Chancellor i who proudly disclosed that FUTA products were globally recognized announced that efforts were on to catch up with the trending artificial intelligence, AI, technology.
She asked professional bodies to partner FUTA as it was set to introduce school of professional development, offering courses in fields of management.
The convocation ceremony which begin today with news conference will feature Public lecture next week Wednesday and convocation on Saturday and to be rounded off with a thanksgiving service on Sunday.
