Women in Ondo State have been charged to avail themselves the opportunities provided by a non-governmental organisation, Forum of wives of Ondo State officials, FOWOSO established by the wife of the governor, Mrs Betty Anyawu-Akeredolu to empower themselves.
The chairperson of the 5th FOWOSO Summit Working Committee, Mrs Oluwatosin Adegbenro gave the charge when she led members of her team on a courtesy visit to Radio Nigeria Positive FM Akure.
According to Mrs Adegbenro, the visit is to solicit support and partnership with the station on the forthcoming 5th FOWOSO Summit.
Mrs Adegbenro highlighted the impacts the group had made on women in Ondo State to include empowering them to live better lives, assisting them in gaining economic power to enable them live independent lives.

Responding, the general manager, Mrs Olubunmi Olalere assured the team of the station’s support and applauded the FOWOSO group in ensuring that women were not relegated to the background.
