The Nigerian Television Authority , NTA ,Akure ‘s annual service of nine lesson and Christmas carols at St Thomas’s Anglican church Isinkan brought together management , staff of NTA, traditional rulers, choristers from various churches and other members of the public.
Admonishing the congregation with the theme ” our king is born, taking from the book of Matthew ,
Reverend Emmanuel Woli charged Christians to demonstrate love and absolute submission to God.
He reminded the congregation that Jesus alone was the giver of peace, so all Christians should trust him.
In an interview the general manager NTA Akure Mrs Olubunmi Oke, while expressing delight in the colourful ceremony enjoined christians not to relent in praying for peace in the state , country and world at large during the yuletide and beyond.
Highlights of the event were the nine lessons taken by different readers among them was
the iralepo of isinkan Ọba Olugbemiga Ojó represented by chief Olúwùsì Oluwalade.
and musical renditions from churches including celestial church of Christ Agunloye, host choir of St Thomas and Fiwasaye girls secondary school.
Guests who graced the occasion included a Former head of service ,Mrs Esther kosemani, former general manager NTA Akure Mrs Tinu Olowofela and others.
