A former Education Secretary for Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo and Chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC in Ondo State, Princess Bukky Abike Oluderu FCIPM, FIPA has called on all stakeholders and appointees to address the political and governance issues in the state in the interest of the citizens.
Princess Oluderu made the appeal in a messages she personally sent to key players in the lingering political downturn emanating from the health issue of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON.
The former Education Secretary, who is Chairman/National Coordinator, BAT-KSM Network Vision and President of Initiative for gender Equity International, emphasized that the situation is drawing Ondo State back as critical decisions bothering on governance and development could not be taken at crucial moments.
Excerpts of her messages:
“Good am. This is Princess Bukky Abike Oluderu, FCIPM, FCIPA. I message you in respect of the situation in Ondo State. We are pained the way things have turned to. We are very sure you can come up as a leader to quell all these SHENANIGANS happening. Unfortunately you are deeply involved. We plead with you to please do something positive, take a right step in right direction before is is too late. A word is enough for the wise. Thank you.”
According to Princess Oluderu, the message was sent to the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, Commissioner for Finance, Mr Wale Akinterinwa and the Special Adviser for Special Duties & Union Matters, Mr Dare Aragbaye.
She noted that well meaning Ondo State citizens, especially those of who have fought to make APC great are very sad on the turn of events stressing that posterity will judge them wrong or right.
“This situation has clearly shown that Governor Akeredolu is surrounded with enemies in friend’s clothing”.
She commended the fatherly role of President Bola Tinubu when invited warring factions to Abuja for intervention to avoid turning the state into anarchy and lawlessness.
Princess Oluderu also frowned at the misinterpretation of President Tinubu’s intervention on the political development in the state.
“I am using this medium to appeal to all concerned to sheath their swords and let reasoning prevail as things are not going well as it should be in the State”.
She prayed for Governor Akeredolu’s quick recovery and come back to take over governance in the state.
