It was indeed a celebration of life as families, friends and colleagues joined the General Manager of Radio Nigeria Positive FM Akure, Mrs Olubunmi Olalere and her siblings to bury their mother, Chief (Mrs) Aina Margaret Olalere in Odonoko, Ijebu Ogun State.

The African Church, Odonoko, Ijebu, venue of the burial was filled to capacity as dignitaries converged in celebration of the life and times of the Adeniyi Matriarch who took the final bow on Monday,  30th of October, 2023 at 80yrs.

Speaking at the funeral service, The Diocesan Bishop, The African Church, Ijebu Province, The Right Reverend Gideon Folorunso urged Nigerians to show mercy to the less privileged and do good always.

Quoting from the Holy Bible from Hebrew 9 verse 7, The Right Reverend Folorunso said people should note that the good they did would be remembered after their death.

He pointed out that death was inevitable and it could come any time, therefore everyone should prepare always by making positive impacts that would outlive them.

Describing Chief (Mrs) Margaret Adeniyi as a kind, virtuous and devout Christian, the Bishop said that was why she was decorated as Yeye Majeobaje of the church.

He pointed out that holding titles in the church was not the ticket to heaven but a confirmation of good works.


Bishop Folorunsho explained that believing in Jesus Christ and accepting him was the key to eternal life.

In a remark, one of the daughters of the deceased who is also the General Manager, Positive FM, Mrs. Olubunmi Olalere said she was happy that her mum died a Christian.

Mrs Olalere said the family was comforted that their matriarch lived a fulfilled life and impacted positively on families, friends and neighbours.
