Residents , christian faithful and friends of Ijare community in Ijare LCDA yesterday joined the regent , High Chief Ogunleye Omosebi at the palace for this year’s service of carols and nine lessons.
There carols included songs rendered in Ijare dialect at the well beautifully decorated Olujare palace .
The community leaders took turns to read the nine lessons while the event also featured A playlet by Mount Zion Church Uye drama group.
In a sermon, Venerable Jide Olaseinde admonished the people to always sanctified themselves and expect God’s visitation as the Angel did to Mary, the mother of Jesus.
In a message, the regent ,High Chief Omosebi thanked God for the grace to witness this year’s Christmas.
Regent Omosebi however advised on the people to spend wisely in view of the harsh economy.
