The atmosphere was gloomy, sombre with sympathizers weeping uncontrollably as the remains of late Deacon Peter Rotimi Akande was laid to rest at the garden of saints , Arulogun, Ibadan , Oyo state.
In his words of admonition , Pastor Joshua Olasehinde of the Redeemed Christian Church of God province 9 Akure charged the people to always remember their last days on earth.
He also spoke on living a life of emulation, serving God with sincerity and giving one’s life to christ for a glorious end.
Speaking from the book of revelation 7:9-17, Pastor Olaseinde extolled the virtues of late Deacon Akande with an assurance of meeting him again on the last day.
The Zonal Director , FRCN, Ibadan Zonal Station, Mr Dominic Mokikan represented by the Assistant director, Admin, Rev Adebayo Esho sympathized with the family of the deceased and Radio Nigeria at large.
Mr Mokikan described late Akande as a hardworking staff whose impact would be greatly missed.
Families, friends, colleagues, church and RATTAWU members from Ondo,Ekiti attended the burial.
Deacon Peter Rotimi Akande was until his death a chief engineer at Positive FM Akure and the General Secretary of RATTAWU in Ondo State.
