The Olupona of Upona-nla community in Akure South local government area of Ondo state, Chief Olusina Omotayo has appreciated Radio Nigeria Positive FM Akure for being responsive to the plight of the society at all times.
Chief Omotayo spoke when he led some members of the community on a “THANK YOU” visit to POSITIVE FM AKURE over the construction of the Old Ondo-Aponmu Road, Adebowale, Akure.
The community leader observed that the publicity given to the deplorable road by the radio station attracted the attention of some eminent Nigerians who promptly facilitated the construction of four out of the thirteen kilometre Road connecting about sixteen communities in the area.
Chief Omotayo who said Upona-nla community had concluded arrangement to honour the highly spirited individuals for their humanitarian gesture urged Positive FM not to relent in drawing the attention of more well meaning Nigerians to assist in constructing the remaining nine kilometres on the stretch.
Also speaking, a resident of Upona-nla, Mr Emmanuel Kolawole described Positive FM as a reliable radio station which had been living up to its social responsibilities always having being of assistance to the community on many difficult occasions.
Responding, the General Manager, Positive FM Akure, Mrs Olubunmi Olalere emphasised that the radio station was established to among other tasks develop the grassroots and promised that the broadcast outfit would continue with this mandate.
Mrs Olalere while appreciating the cordial relationship existing between the station and Upona-nla community said they would continue to explore areas of mutual benefits for more developments.
