The National leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned the immediate-past governor of Kogi State Yahaiya Bello, to desist from causing confusion in the party, saying the position of the National Chairman is currently occupied.
The National Publicity Secretary of the APC Mr Felix Morka, issued the warning at the party national headquarters in response to the appearance his posters on Monday at strategic places and streets, including the national secretariat of the party, barely 48-hours after his handing over to Governor Usman Ododo.
The posters were signaling Bello’s interest to become the National Chairman of the ruling party, the position currently held by the former governor of Kano state, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, from the North-west.
The APC Spokesman described the action as the handwork of mischief makers and urged the perpetrators to desist from doing so.
Morka who said in a democratic setting, such is expected, however stated that Dr. Umar Ganduje still remains the party’s National Chairman and that the party so far has confidence in his leadership.
