The Ondo State House of Assembly has assured the victims of Rainstorm in Ita-ogbolu, Akure North Local government area of the State of Government intervention to ameliorate their plight.

The speaker Mr Olamide Oladij who accompanied the member representing the constituency, Mr Kolawole Ologede to inspect the affected areas also visited the Palace, promising government’s prompt attention.

While Expressing his sympathy at the palace of the Ogbolu of Ita-Ogbolu, The Speaker said the house would make proper recommendation to the appropriate quaters.

He also assured the community that attention of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) would be drawn to provide necessary assistance to the victims.

Highlighting the importance of preventive measures, the Speaker encouraged residents to plant more trees and renovate buildings to mitigate the impact of future disasters.

The Lawmaker representing the constituency, Mr Ologede informed that over 200 houses were affected with many rendered homeless.

The Ogbolu of Ita-Ogbolu, Oba Idowu Faborode, appreciated the house of Assembly for the gesture and compassion during this trying time.
