Emotions ran high on Wednesday as the body of Late Governor of Ondo state, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, arrived Ondo state for burial.
Residents, especially workers who gathered to pay their last respect to the late Akeredolu wept uncontrollably.
The body of the former Governor was led to the governor’s office by members of his immediate family.
The dark brown casket bearing the corpse arrived Akure, the capital city this morning and was moved to the governor’s office at Alagbaka for a brief lying-in-state.
Addressing workers who gathered to pay their last respect to the late Akeredolu, Ondo state governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatwa described the demise of his predecessor as the will of God, stressing that the lying in State the seat of power was symbolic being his last workplace.
Governor Aiyedatiwa noted that the Late former Governor was passionate and committed to the Development of the state.
The head of service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele said Ondo state workers would forever be grateful to the former governor as he displayed uncommon love for them.
