Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Sunday joined family members of late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for a special
thanksgiving service to round off his two week long burial activities.
The event held at the cathedral church of Saint Andrews, Imola Owo Ondo state attracted many dignitaries
including the deputy governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami, secretary to the state government, Mr Tayo Oluwatuyi, former and present cabinet members and royal fathers.
The Bishop of Owo Anglican diocese, Right Reverend, Stephen Fagbemi in a sermon with the theme “Jesus Christ the sufficient high priest” admonished Christians to have trust in God and clinch unto Him because every man has an end.
Bishop Fagbemi further emphasized that Jesus Christ, being the only priest who died for all men was ever available and reliable, urging the congregation to accord praise and glory to him alone and not mere mortals.
The clergyman asked the Ondo state government not to abandon the projects and legacies of the former Governor
Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
A special prayer was held for the late governor’s family, Ondo state, and the country as a whole.
